It has been a joy to make this leap. I've worked with our local FFA (Future Farmers of America) Chapter on several occasions, had a standing presence at our farmer's market, and photographed several farms in the Maryland area. I've been able to witness livestock guardian dogs learning how to do their job, dairy farm operations in Carroll County, and a flower farm buttoning up for the end of the season in Pennsylvania. Families have welcomed me on to their farms and homesteads while the children introduced me to their favorite chickens, and a high school senior loves her job so much that she had me photograph her senior portraits on that farm.
